DVD Version |
Apart from the fact that this game looks as if it will be cracking, heres some info on the special DVD release of UT2004!The limited edition 2 DVD version of Unreal Tournament 2004 (as opposed to the 5 or 6 CD version) will ship with a headset that can be used for in-game, real time communication. The second DVD in the case will contain 15 hours of video tutorials for UnrealEd, the editing program released for the Unreal series. The DVD version will be supplied in a metal case (ala Return to Castle Wolfenstein perhaps?). The set will be available in the US and in Europe, and both the CD and DVD versions are currently scheduled for the same release date. Lets hope that the game is released in time for the Christmas period!

Review from playing the Demo |
|
I have never played online games before this, and all I can say is that you must buy this it is what game playing is all about. I have only Played the Onslaught mode but I dont think it gets any better than 16 aside madness. Which ever way you enjoy shooting and maming people, you will be well catered for here. From hiding in the hills and using sniper shots, to running aroung like a nutter with a minigun. If you are particular angry you might also want to try to get into the ships and buggies and just mow those poor suckers down!! I think this is a great game, even the people you play with have a wicked sense of humour, buy this game now!!!!!!

Fragging Good! |

The 3rd game in the amazingly brutal Unreal Tournament series. Unreal Tournament is a game where the rules of kill or be killed have never been more true and one of the most modded games available for the PC. In UT2004 however, as well as the usual DM (Deathmatch), TDM (Team Deathmatch) and CTF (Capture the flag)mode that are common place in most modern arena based shooters, theyve included Domination (a team based game where your team has to hold two control points on the map for a certain time to score, defending from opposite team domination), Bombing run (Best description I can think of is "Football with guns"), Assault (Removed in UT2003 but back to stay I think, Your team has to do a missions and then once you have done so, the enemy has to do the same) and then Onslaught (Various power nodes are dotted on the map and have to be linked to destroy the enemy power core) Which is THE most played map of the demo online! There is also meant to be a career mode which effectively is the single player side of the game. This game is going to be totally awesome come 19th March 2004
